Sooryavanshi reached his fifty in 11 balls and fell six runs short of a century
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, a 15-year-old from Samastipur in Bihar, reached his half-century from 11 balls and surpassed the previous List A record credited to Sri Lanka’s Kaushalya Weeraratne, who had taken 12 deliveries in 2005.
Sooryavanshi’s scoring sequence during the early surge was listed as 4, 4, 4, 6, 6, 0, 6, 4, 4, 6, 6. The half-century came through back-to-back straight sixes off pacer Dulaj Samuditha.
Sooryavanshi and Priyansh Arya added 132 for the opening wicket. Sooryavanshi’s innings ended in the ninth over when spinner Sahan Arachchige induced a catch at mid-off, and Arya was dismissed in the following over.

Tilak Varma and late cameos pushed India A beyond 350
Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 40 and added 63 with captain Tilak Varma, whose 67 from 90 balls held India A’s innings together after both openers were out.
India A lost wickets at regular intervals while trying to accelerate, but Anukul Roy made 39 from 15 balls and Vipraj Nigam added 27 from 20 deliveries. Those late runs lifted India A to 377 for nine.
Sri Lanka A rebuilt twice but stayed behind the required rate
Sri Lanka A crossed 300 through half-centuries from Sadeera Samarawickrama and Wanuj Sahan, but the chase stayed behind the required pace after three early wickets.
Niroshan Dickwella, Avishka Fernando and Nuwanidu Fernando were dismissed with 75 runs on the board inside the first 10 overs. Sadeera Samarawickrama made 52 and captain Sahan Arachchige scored 38 in a 53-run fourth-wicket stand.
