India’s team bus was caught in traffic on the way to the Rose Bowl in Southampton, delaying the pre-match schedule for the fifth and final T20I against England on Saturday.
The toss was moved to 7:15 PM IST, while the match was rescheduled to begin at 7:30 PM IST. The original match start was set for 7:00 PM IST.
England continue football drill while India travel to venue
England’s players used the additional waiting time for a rondo football drill at the ground. The drill involved quick passes within a tight circle and formed part of England’s warm-up before India’s arrival.
A Times of India report showed England’s players continuing the relaxed exercise as officials adjusted the match timings.

India begin preparations after reaching Rose Bowl
India accelerated preparations after reaching the venue. Captain Shreyas Iyer walked onto the field with his bat and gloves for a short practice session, while all-rounder Suryansh Shedge marked his run-up.
Suryansh Shedge’s activity raised the possibility of a place in India’s playing XI, but the source report did not confirm any team changes before the toss.
Series position raises stakes for final T20I
England entered the final match with an unassailable 3-0 series lead after the opening T20I was washed out. England were seeking a 4-0 series result, while India needed a win to avoid a whitewash.
