Yuvraj Singh Takes ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Trophy Tour to Miami Grand Prix
Indian cricket legend and ICC Ambassador, Yuvraj Singh, brought the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Trophy Tour to the Miami Grand Prix. He proudly walked the grid with the coveted trophy that 20 international teams will be competing for from 1-29 June in the West Indies and USA.
This collaboration with Formula One also featured the Trophy on the grid alongside NBA’s Larry O’Brien Trophy and the Miami Grand Prix Trophy, marking the second leg of the USA stops of the Tour.
The Trophy Tour, initially launched by Chris Gayle and Ali Khan at New York’s Empire State Building, has now reached Florida. It will spend two days (6-7 May) in Broward County, building anticipation for the four T20 World Cup matches to be held at Broward County Stadium, including the co-hosts’ USA fixture against Ireland on 14 June.
Following Florida, the Trophy will journey to Washington D.C (9 May), then to Toronto (10-11 May) to celebrate Canada’s first ever qualification for the T20 World Cup. The Trophy will be showcased at a cricket-themed Major League Baseball fixture hosted by the Toronto Blue Jays against the Minnesota Twins on 10 May.
The Trophy Tour will conclude in the Caribbean host islands of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, and Guyana. Each of the West Indies hosts will hold public celebration parades to welcome the biggest global prize in T20 cricket.
The Men’s T20 World Cup Trophy will ultimately return to the United States for the opening match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 between USA and Canada at Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas on 1 June.
