The selectors, led by Ajit Agarkar, named Shreyas Iyer as captain for the Zimbabwe T20Is. India will play the three matches in Harare on July 23, July 25 and July 27.

Sanju Samson’s omission followed a poor run with the bat in recent T20I matches.
The Kerala wicketkeeper-batter was dropped from India’s playing XI for the second T20I against England after scoring one run off seven balls in the series opener at Durham. Before that England series, Samson scored 0 and 5 in the two-match T20I series against Ireland.
