Gerhard Erasmus (Namibia)

The charismatic Namibian captain, Gerhard Erasmus, showcased his exceptional skills during the recent tour of Oman, making significant contributions with both bat and ball.

Erasmus delivered two Player of the Match performances during the five-match T20I series. His first notable performance was in the second game of the series, where despite a narrow six-run loss, he scored 58 runs off 56 deliveries and took 3 wickets for just 7 runs.

In the decisive fifth match that determined the series, Erasmus outdid his previous performance by scoring a rapid 64 runs off 29 deliveries, including six sixes. His crucial breakthroughs helped Namibia secure the series with a commanding 62-run victory.

Muhammad Waseem (UAE)

Muhammad Waseem, the powerful right-handed batsman from UAE, was in top form last month, scoring a plethora of runs at the ACC Premier Cup and achieving his third T20I century.

Despite starting the month with a first-ball duck against Kuwait, the 30-year-old quickly regained his form, scoring 65, 45, and 48 runs in three consecutive matches.

Waseem’s standout performance of the month came in the ACC Premier Cup final, where he scored his third T20I century off just 56 deliveries, including six fours and seven sixes, leading UAE to a remarkable 55-run victory over Oman.

Shaheen Afridi (Pakistan)

Shaheen Afridi, Pakistan’s pace spearhead, displayed exceptional form ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, finishing as the leading wicket-taker in the T20I series against New Zealand last month.

Shaheen claimed the only wicket in the rain-affected opening match against the Kiwis and followed it up with stellar performances in the second and fifth games of the series in Rawalpindi and Lahore.

His best performance came in the second match, where he took 3 wickets for 13 runs, leading to New Zealand’s dismissal for a mere 90 runs. In the final match of the series, Shaheen took 4 wickets for 30 runs, helping Pakistan level the series. His eight wickets in the series also earned him the Player of the Series award.
