Bangladesh Announces Major Squad Change Ahead of Series Decider Against Sri Lanka

In a crucial move with the three-game ODI series against Sri Lanka on the line, Bangladesh has announced a significant change in their squad. Litton Das has been replaced by Jaker Ali Anik, who, despite being uncapped at the ODI level, has shown promising performance in T20Is for Bangladesh. Jaker has accumulated 110 T20I runs with an average of 55 and a strike rate of 122.22. In List A cricket, he boasts nearly 2000 runs at an average of 34.87.

Gazi Ashraf Hossain, Chairman of the National Selection Panel for Bangladesh, provided insight into this decision.

“With the series now hanging in the balance, we believe Jaker Ali’s addition will provide the team with more options and flexibility in the middle order.”
