15-Year-Old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Smashes T20 Sixes Record During Rajasthan Royals’ Pink Promise Match

Rajasthan Royals teenager Vaibhav Sooryavanshi captured the spotlight during the IPL 2026 fixture at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The 15-year-old batting prospect delivered a record-breaking performance on the field while participating in the franchise’s annual Pink Promise campaign.

Fastest to 100 T20 Sixes

Sooryavanshi continued his aggressive IPL campaign by setting a new benchmark in men’s T20 cricket. The left-handed batter became the youngest and fastest player to hit 100 sixes in the format, reaching the milestone in exactly 29 innings and 514 balls.

Opening the innings, the teenager targeted Royal Challengers Bengaluru fast bowler Mohammed Siraj from the first delivery. Sooryavanshi struck a massive six over long-on and accelerated to 36 runs from 16 deliveries. His knock featured three boundaries and three sixes before Siraj secured his wicket in the powerplay.

According to ESPNcricinfo records, Sooryavanshi has anchored the Rajasthan top order throughout the season.

The Pink Promise Initiative

The match carried significant social importance as the team wore specialized all-pink jerseys to support the Rajasthan Royals Foundation. The campaign focuses on women-led social development and solar electrification in rural areas.

Before the toss, Sooryavanshi posted a message on Instagram stating, “This one is for you, maa.” The Mother’s Day post aligned directly with the franchise’s primary theme for the evening.

The IPL franchise executed several community pledges during the fixture:

  • Funding solar power for six rural homes for every six hit during the match.
  • Celebrating the electrification of 780 homes achieved across the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
  • Highlighting the campaign slogan “Aurat Hai Toh Bharat Hai.”

The commemorative jersey was designed by 19-year-old Samiksha Rameshwar Mundada from Nashik, who won a nationwide design competition organized by the franchise and the BCCI.
