Netherlands to Host Ireland and Scotland in Tri-Series Ahead of T20 World Cup

As a precursor to the T20 World Cup, Ireland and Scotland are scheduled to tour the Netherlands for a tri-nation T20I series in May. The series will commence from 18 May and conclude on 24 May in Amstelveen, following which the teams will head to the USA and the West Indies for the T20 World Cup.

Previous T20 World Cup Performances

In the last T20 World Cup held in Australia in 2022, all three teams participated in the first round of matches, which was divided into two groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group advanced to the Super 12s. However, Scotland could not qualify after finishing third in Group B.

Ireland managed to secure a victory over the eventual champions, England, by a margin of five runs on the DLS method. On the other hand, the Netherlands won two matches, including a significant victory that ousted South Africa from the tournament.
