Minor Injuries for Two Pakistan Cricketers in Car Accident

Pakistan’s cricket team captain, Bismah Maroof, and leg-spinner, Ghulam Fatima, suffered minor injuries in a car accident on Friday evening, 5th April, as per the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) statement.

The PCB has not disclosed the specifics or severity of the injuries but confirmed that both players received immediate medical attention and are currently under the care of their medical team.

The players are part of the preliminary squad named for a training camp ahead of the home series against West Indies. More details can be found here.

“The Pakistan Cricket Board has provided an update regarding two of its women players, Bismah Maroof and Ghulam Fatima, who were involved in a minor car accident on Friday evening,” the PCB stated. “Despite sustaining minor injuries, both players received immediate first aid and are currently under the care of the PCB medical team.”

“Both players are part of the probables attending a training camp for the upcoming series against the West Indies, scheduled to begin on 18 April.”

Pakistan is set to host West Indies for a three-match ICC Women’s Championship ODI series, followed by five T20Is, as part of their preparations for this year’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Bangladesh.
