Sri Lankan Spinner Returns from Retirement for Bangladesh Tests
Wanindu Hasaranga, the Sri Lankan spinner who announced his retirement from Test cricket last year, has made a comeback for the ICC World Test Championship series against Bangladesh, which is set to commence on March 22.

Hasaranga, a leg-spinning all-rounder, is part of a formidable spin attack that also features Prabath Jayasuriya, Ramesh Mendis, and all-rounders Nishan Peiris and Kamindu Mendis.

Hasaranga recently made history by becoming only the second bowler to take three consecutive five-wicket hauls in ODIs during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023.
Dhananjaya de Silva, who was appointed as the Test skipper in February, will continue to lead the team, with Kusal Mendis serving as his deputy.
The Test series will kick off on March 22 in Sylhet, with the subsequent Test scheduled in Chattogram from March 30.
