The state-of-the-art Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, a 34,000-seat modular venue in New York, is set to host eight matches of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The stadium’s construction progress was recently showcased in a timelapse video, marking the one-month milestone.

With the World Cup commencing on 1 June, the project located in Eisenhower Park, Nassau County, 30 miles east of Manhattan, is rapidly taking shape. The East Stand, capable of accommodating 12,500 fans, has seen significant progress over the past month. Cranes have been busy lifting the modular framework into place. Concurrently, work has begun on the north and south premium hospitality and media pavilions, as well as the stadium’s outfield.

As the World Cup draws closer, ticket demand is soaring. Limited tickets for five matches at the Nassau County stadium are now available. Fans can secure their spot to witness the global cricket superstars by visiting tickets.t20worldcup.com.

The excitement surrounding the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is palpable. Fans celebrated the 100-day countdown on 22 February, marked by the general sale of tickets, the launch of an ‘out of this world’ campaign film, and giant cricket balls landing in the nine host locations, including Times Square in New York City and Bridgetown in Barbados.

ICC Head of Events, Chris Tetley, said:

“It is extremely exciting to see the progress made in the construction of the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York over the past month. Work on the outfield commenced in January and in the past few weeks the East Stand framework has really started to take shape.”

T20 USA, Inc. CEO Brett Jones, said:

“We are thrilled to see the venue taking shape and excited to welcome fans to the Men’s T20 World Cup from all over the world.
