On Thursday, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) announced Akash Singh as the replacement for injured bowler Mukesh Choudhary. Mukesh, who made his IPL debut in the previous season and claimed 16 wickets, is currently recovering from a stress fracture and will be absent from the 16th edition of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL).

Akash Singh, a member of India’s Under-19 World Cup team in 2020, previously represented the Rajasthan Royals. The left-arm pacer has participated in 9 T20s, 9 List A matches, and five First-Class games, securing a total of 31 wickets. He joins CSK for a fee of INR 20 Lakh.
