Kolkata Knight Riders Unveil ‘Lines of Legacy’ Jersey Ahead of IPL 2026
The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have officially released their new jersey design for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. The three-time champions introduced the “Lines of Legacy” theme, integrating abstract linear art to represent historical franchise milestones.
The jersey design visually encodes significant events from KKR’s IPL history. These integrated lines merge to form the initials K-K-R. Notable milestones represented in the fabric include Brendon McCullum’s unbeaten 158 runs during the inaugural 2008 IPL match and Rinku Singh’s five consecutive sixes in the final over against the Gujarat Titans in 2023.
“This season, those lines are woven into the jersey itself, allowing fans to wear a piece of the team’s story,” KKR management released in a media statement. Venky Mysore, Chief Executive Officer of Knight Riders Sports, added that the new kit captures the franchise’s history while setting the stage for the upcoming tournament.

- Matheesha Pathirana: Signed to reinforce the death-bowling attack with a sling-action trajectory.
- Finn Allen: Added for aggressive powerplay hitting capabilities.
- Rovman Powell: Drafted specifically as a direct replacement for Andre Russell to maintain power-hitting depth in the lower middle order.
KKR will open their training camp in mid-March as they prepare for the season opener in Mumbai.
