THE GRAND FINALE

MS Dhoni’s Final Six (2011) vs Jonty Rhodes’ Run Out of Inzamam (1992)

MS Dhoni’s Final Six

India clinched their second World Cup title, thanks to a colossal six from the bat of their captain, MS Dhoni, in the 49th over. This shot was the climax of a successful home campaign, immortalized by Ravi Shastri’s iconic commentary, “Dhoni finishes off in style. A magnificent strike into the crowd!”

Jonty Rhodes’ Run Out of Inzamam

Chasing a revised target against South Africa, Pakistan was in dire need of quick runs. Inzamam-ul-Haq was leading the charge with his swift knock. In the 31st over, a delivery from Brian McMillan struck his pads and flew towards the point region.

Inzamam started for a run before realizing it wasn’t possible and turned back to his crease. But by then, Jonty Rhodes had already grabbed the ball and was sprinting towards the stumps. With a perfect dive and a stretch of his right arm, he shattered the stumps before Inzamam could make it back.
