BCCI to Honor Five ICC Title-Winning Indian Teams at Annual NAMAN Awards in New Delhi
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will host its annual NAMAN awards ceremony in New Delhi on March 15. The gala will recognize and felicitate players, coaches, and support staff from five Indian national cricket teams that secured International Cricket Council (ICC) titles over the past calendar year.
Recognizing Multi-Format Success
BCCI Joint Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed the board’s plans to celebrate the country’s international achievements across senior and age-group formats. The ceremony will honor the senior men’s squad responsible for their recent global triumphs, alongside the women’s and junior developmental teams.
“The BCCI Awards ceremony will happen on March 15 in New Delhi. We are going to invite all the ICC tournament winners, including the recent T20 World Cup champions, as well as coaches,” Saikia stated.
Teams Scheduled for Felicitation
According to official board communications, the event will gather representatives from five distinct title-winning squads. Correcting prior timeline discrepancies regarding future events, the recognized achievements encompass the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup victory and the 2025 Champions Trophy campaign, alongside developmental squad successes.
| National Team Category | ICC Tournament Recognized |
|---|---|
| Senior Men’s Team | ICC Men’s T20 World Cup (2024) |
| Senior Men’s Team | ICC Champions Trophy (2025) |
| Senior Women’s Team | ICC Women’s Trophy (2025) |
| Under-19 Boys | ICC U19 Boys Event (2025) |

“Apart from the senior men’s team, the senior women’s team, U19 boys side, and U19 girls team will also be invited,” Saikia added. “We will also invite the 2025 Champions Trophy winning team members. All the members of those teams will be honored on the awards night.”
Pre-IPL Venue Logistics
The scheduling of the NAMAN awards directly precedes the start of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season, which begins on March 28. To accommodate the senior men’s players traveling to join their respective franchise camps, the BCCI selected a five-star hotel venue located near the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.
This location ensures efficient logistical transitions for players who must immediately report for IPL franchise duties. Historical tournament data and player statistics from these global ICC events are maintained by ESPNcricinfo, documenting the current dominance of the Indian cricket pipeline.
